Katy Kristoffersen has over 20 years experience in coaching and teaching. She specializes in mindfulness, yoga and music. She earned her Master's Degree in Education from Mount St. Joseph University and is an RYT200 certified yoga instructor with certifications in vinyasa, pre-natal, post-natal, and restorative yoga.
Katy excels at creating spaces where people can feel both safe and vulnerable, allowing them to grow and learn within a strong sense of community. This is the essence of her mission and the source of her palpable joy. She believes that mindfulness is a multi-faceted, dynamic practice that requires energy and work on multiple levels. It serves as an underlying theme in her coaching, whether it is being expressed through yoga, music, or any other aspect of a client's life.
Her teaching experience led Katy and Inward Fitness to develop an eight-week course of study in mindfulness. She sees mindfulness as a platform through which to explore the body, relationships, the workplace, emotions, the self, and the heart to work toward a higher, more connected sense of self.
Katy is a classroom and private yoga instructor with Inward Fitness and Mudra Yoga in Denver. She also composes music and coaches musicians in voice, piano and composition.
Katy thrives on intuition and strives to create unique personal experiences for her yoga, mindfulness, and music practitioners. She considers her instructional style much less "teaching to" and more "walking with," or guiding. Most of all, she is grateful for a life so rich, so full of meaningful human connection.
Coach Sheila grew up in Grand Junction, Colorado and attended Central High School. After graduation she moved to Wichita, Kansas to attend business school. Soon after that Sheila married and had two wonderful children, Kimberly and Brent. Because of concerns over longevity in her family and the stresses of life, Sheila joined a gym and loved the empowerment that working out gave her. It soon became her passion, and she began teaching classes at Spa Lady. It didn’t take long for her to realize she needed to educate herself beyond what the gym provided, so she attended classes at Front Range College, majoring in Marketing, with a minor in Exercise Physiology. She started her own business, “Better Bodies by Sheila and Associates” in 1982. Sheila’s training specialties include functional fitness, group training, weight loss, prenatal, and working with special populations (heart patients, Alzheimers, Multiple Sclerosis and Parkinson’s patients). She works for Parkinson’s Association of the Rockies and teaches her own Parkinson’s classes at Inward motion. Her hobbies are hiking, camping and of course working out. Sheila is thrilled to join the outstanding group of coaches/trainers at InWard Fitness and to have the opportunity to touch people’s lives by helping them be the best they can be, both mentally and physically, through individualized instruction and support..
Elle grew up in Northern California, spending much of her time both in the ocean and the mountains. With a very active family and a mom who was a personal trainer and massage therapist, Elle grew up with an early appreciation for health and fitness and played almost every sport under the sun. She moved to Texas for college, where she developed a love of weightlifting, and was fortunate to find a community of more experienced athletes to learn from and grow stronger with. After college, Elle moved to North Carolina where she became very active in the fitness community, specifically a gym that focused around Olympic Lifting. The pull to make a career out of helping people, especially other women, find their place in the gym continued to grow stronger, so when Elle moved to Denver, she began to pursue her NASM Personal Training certification. Upon completion, she began coaching at a group fitness studio. Elle loves coupling her knowledge of exercise with her love for community and relationship-building to help clients meet their fitness goals...and have fun along the way.
Katy's health and wellness journey began in 2013 while on the road with a band called Canyon Spells from Madison, WI. To get through long nights of playing and driving while on tour, she started making the conscious decision to eat better. As tour wrapped up, these habits progressed from diet to exercise. In August of 2014, her fitness journey began to evolve, experiencing and learning a variety of training styles including personal training, yoga, high intensity, and endurance. Her credentials include 200 Hour RYT, NASM CPT, and CrossFit Level 1.
Her passion for yoga developed heavily beginning in 2018 at Fusion Yoga in Eagan, Minnesota. Katy believes in allowing a "take it, leave it, or modify it" approach, and that each individuals needs differ. This freedom allows for the utmost expression in every one of us, creating the most authentic practice. Katy is honored to connect with the community of Inward Fitness. When she isn't teaching yoga or practicing herself, she's likely hiking in the alpine or drinking a hot cup of coffee at her cabin in Evergreen.

My name is Adrian, and I specialize in calisthenics, functional movement, and kickboxing! As a new resident to Denver, all my past work experience resided in Seattle where I worked as a lead Personal Trainer, and as a Stretch Therapist for the past 2 years. With my specializations being so, I have always tried to emphasize and instruct the clients I work with about the importance of moving well, and creating deeper relationships with yourself through movement. Though the movements I teach are specific for the gym, the principles behind them are lessons you can always take outside of the gym.
