Katy Kristoffersen

RYT 200

Katy Kristoffersen has over 20 years experience in coaching and teaching. She specializes in mindfulness, yoga and music. She earned her Master's Degree in Education from Mount St. Joseph University and is an RYT200 certified yoga instructor with certifications in vinyasa, pre-natal, post-natal, and restorative yoga. Katy excels at creating spaces where people can feel both safe and vulnerable, allowing them to grow and learn within a strong sense of community. This is the essence of her mission and the source of her palpable joy. She believes that mindfulness is a multi-faceted, dynamic practice that requires energy and work on multiple levels. It serves as an underlying theme in her coaching, whether it is being expressed through yoga, music, or any other aspect of a client's life. Her teaching experience led Katy and Inward Fitness to develop an eight-week course of study in mindfulness. She sees mindfulness as a platform through which to explore the body, relationships, the workplace, emotions, the self, and the heart to work toward a higher, more connected sense of self. Katy is a classroom and private yoga instructor with Inward Fitness and Mudra Yoga in Denver. She also composes music and coaches musicians in voice, piano and composition. Katy thrives on intuition and strives to create unique personal experiences for her yoga, mindfulness, and music practitioners. She considers her instructional style much less "teaching to" and more "walking with," or guiding. Most of all, she is grateful for a life so rich, so full of meaningful human connection.
